Statement of Change

An individual (sole trader) or a firm (partnership) may make changes to its particulars of registration which are filed with the Registrar under the Registration of Business Names Act, Chap. 82:85(“the Act”)

Examples of particulars are:

• Business Name
• Nature of Business
• Principal place of Business
• Residential address
• Ownership
• Owners name

The individual or firm must notify the Registrar of a change in particulars within fourteen(14) days after its occurrence, by filing a Statement of Change (section 8 of the Act).

Filing Statement of Change

Please complete the following:

• Statement of Change Form 6 (Individual) or Form 7(Firm) Fee: $80.00
• Certificate of Change Fee: $20.00
• Other Notices/Documents:
  • The approved request for Name Search/Name Reservation. (if for a change of business name).
  • Supporting documents, for example, marriage certificate, deed poll, death certificate, in cases where a person’s name has changed, or a person is deceased.
