External (foreign) companies not registered in Trinidad and Tobago

External (foreign) companies not registered in Trinidad and Tobago do not fall under the administration of the Registrar but may appear on records kept by the Registrar.

Where an External (foreign) company not registered in Trinidad and Tobago holds any of the following positions, the entity must be registered in CROS:

Director
Secretary
Partner
Shareholder
Beneficial owner

Why register?

For the associated company to be able to submit forms
To assign a CRA Identity PIN to the company
To authorise the Registry to add approvals for new roles

How to register?

To register a Director of an External Company not registered under the Companies Act, Ch. 81:01 must register that External Company by submitting a manual application to the Companies Registry.
