“Association” is the establishing of position(s) that a person or company may hold in any of the following incorporated/registered entities, prior to the launch of CROS:
The association is established by the Companies Registry linking the CRA Identity PIN, of the person or company, to the record of the entity they are associated with. This process updates the record with the authenticated CRA details and ensures that the information held at the Companies Registry is consistent.
You must indicate that you have an association, where you are a director, secretary or partner in any company incorporated or business registered prior to the launch of CROS, if you are to conduct transactions for these entities in CROS. Associations are submitted through your CRA, and are reviewed by the Companies Registry. Once confirmed, you will be able to login to the relevant role and conduct transactions.
You must complete the association where you are a director or secretary or partner of any company or business, incorporated or registered prior to the launch of CROS, to be able to conduct transactions on behalf of these entities.
If you hold any other association, such as owner of an individual business, shareholder, beneficial owner or controller, it is strongly advised that you indicate same to ensure that the information on record for those associated entities is accurate.
Associations may be indicated either at the time of registering for your CRA, or thereafter, through your existing CRA:
The associations of the company can only be indicated by a director or secretary of the company e.g. where a company is a director of another company, (i.e. the directors/secretaries must have already completed their individual associations). To do this:
An association is automatically removed when notification has been given to the Registrar that you cease to hold such position(s) in an entity, e.g. filing of a Notice of Change of Secretary, or Statement of Change of Particulars
